Unrest breaks out in a Nigerian city due to lack of cash

Riots erupted in the city of Abeokuta in southwestern Nigeria as a result of a shortage of cash and long lines at banks, causing two commercial banks to be attacked and vandalized by angry protesters.
The state police have stated that the situation is under control and have warned against further violence. The central bank's sudden change in banknotes, along with a fuel shortage, has contributed to the growing tensions and frustration.
The fuel shortage has caused an increase in pump prices and long lines at fuel stations, leading to protests in several cities across the country, including Kano and Ibadan.
These events are taking place just three weeks before Nigeria's presidential election on February 25
